So this is EXACTLY why the internet is awesome, because of tools like this one.
You put in the ingredients you already have in your pantry/refrigerator, and they give you a list of recipes you can make with those ingredients - and highlight the items you still need.
To test it out I picked a few random things I have on hand right now:
peanut butter, Cheese - Cheddar, Chicken - Breast, canned tomatoes, olive oil,Rice - Brown
and it pulled up a bunch of recipes I only need a few more ingredients to make. This is a great way to save money! And, there's also an identical tool that asks what alcohol you have and then recommends mixed drinks you can make.
Enjoy!

Thanks YY, this is a great tool. I could really use this, I sometimes spend a weekend just creating meals for the month to have some variety.
Can any policy, however high minded, be moral if it leads to widespread corruption, imprisons so many, has so racist an effect, destroys our inner cities, wreaks havoc on misguided & vulnerable individuals and brings death and destruction to foreign countries?
1Oh wow this sounds great!
2I have been trying to find this thing for AGES! I had it on an old computer and lost it.
THANK YOU!
3Another good site like this is www.foodsubs.com
Basically if you're trying to make a recipe and there's an ingredient you don't have on hand, you type it into FoodSubs and they tell you what you can substitute. It has saved me so many times!! (It's a thesaurus for foods)
4Another nice tip - bookmarked! Thank you Syako!
5oohh... i hadn't heard of that one! thanks syako!
6It has saved me many unnecessary trips to the grocery store. And they usually will tell you whether the substitute will work for baking or not. It's a neat tool.
7That's freakin' awesome, YY! Thanks!
